Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Design / Interaction Design / Product Design / Visual Communication Design.
  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or minimum 4-year Diploma in any of the streams of Design, Fine Arts, Applied Arts and Architecture, or Bachelor’s or Bachelor of Engineering with First Class or equivalent.
  • Candidates should have Master’s Degree or equivalent Post Graduate Diploma in relevant disciplines with First Class or equivalent in a concerned/relevant/allied subject of Industrial Design / Visual Communication Fine Arts / Applied Arts / Architecture / Interaction Design / New Media Studies / Design Management / Ergonomics / Human Factors Engineering / Indian Craft Studies and related fields of Engineering or Design.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional design experience in Industry / Research Organization / Design.
  • Teaching/Research experience in a University/Institute of National Importance is desirable.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Assistant Professor (Contractual): Fixed emolument of Rs. 80,000/- per month.
  • Guest Faculty: Rs. 1,500/- per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month.

Selection Process:

  • The Academic Score specified under Appendix II (Table 3A) of the UGC Regulations, 2018 shall be considered only for shortlisting candidates for the interview.
  • Final selection shall be based solely on the candidate’s performance in the personal interview.
