• Candidates should have a Master’s degree in Public International Law/Law of the Sea/Maritime Law or an allied field, with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade from an Indian University or an accredited foreign University.
• NET/CSIR-NET or an equivalent UGC-accredited test qualification is desirable.
• A Ph.D. in accordance with applicable UGC regulations is desirable.
• At least one publication in a peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journal is desirable. Papers presented or published at conferences and papers in refereed journals will also be considered.
• Experience attending international academies such as The Hague Academy, IFLOS Summer Academy, Yeosu Academy or Xiamen Academy is desirable.

• Teaching or research experience of 0–5 years in an equivalent cadre or relevant field at a government or international organization, private or relevant institute, or research institute.

• Consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 40,000/- to Rs. 1,20,000/-.
• Remuneration will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience and suitability. A per-day remuneration may be offered for the Flexi-Day option.
