Educational Qualification:
- Candidates should possess Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch.
- Candidates should have a very good academic record in all preceding degrees.
Experience:
- For fresh Ph.D. candidates, the position will be on a contract basis for the first three years and can be regularized afterwards.
- Regular appointment can be made for candidates having three or more years of post-Ph.D. teaching, research or industrial experience.
- Applicants who do not fulfil the minimum experience requirements may be offered an appointment on contract.
- Assistant Professor Grade I: Pay Level 12, Basic Pay Rs. 1,01,500 – 1,67,400.
- Assistant Professor Grade II (Contract): Pay Level 11, Basic Pay Rs. 89,900 – 1,17,200.
- Assistant Professor Grade II (Contract): Pay Level 10, Basic Pay Rs. 89,800 – 98,200.
