Educational Qualification:

  • Ph.D. from a recognized institute/university in India or abroad with a consistently strong academic record.
  • First Class (Minimum 60%) or equivalent grade in Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees with a consistently good academic record.
  • Professor / Associate Professor of Practice candidates may not necessarily hold a Ph.D. but should possess significant professional expertise and practical impact in their domain.

Experience:

  • Professor: Minimum 10 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience, out of which 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.
  • Associate Professor: Minimum 6 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience, out of which 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor Grade I.
  • Assistant Professor Grade I: Minimum 3 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience.
  • Assistant Professor Grade II (Academic Level 11): Minimum 1 year of post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience.
  • Assistant Professor Grade II (Academic Level 10): Less than 1 year of post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience or a provisional Ph.D. degree awarded.
  • Professor / Associate Professor of Practice: Minimum 15 years of substantial industry/government/professional experience with strong practical impact.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Professor: Academic Level 14
  • Associate Professor: Academic Level 13A2
  • Assistant Professor Grade I: Academic Level 12
  • Assistant Professor Grade II: Academic Levels 11 and 10
  • Pay and allowances shall be as per 7th CPC and IIM Amritsar regulations.
