Educational Qualification:

  • Professor:
    • Candidates applying through the academic route should hold a Ph.D. in the relevant or allied discipline, have at least 10 research publications, and attain a research score of 120.
    • Applicants through the professional route must meet the additional requirements specified in the detailed advertisement.
  • Associate Professor:
    • Requirements vary by discipline and include a Ph.D. in the relevant or allied discipline and, where specified, a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks.
    • For the Education post, candidates should have a postgraduate degree in the specified Social Science or Language subjects, an M.Ed. and a Ph.D. in Education.
    • The Management post requires a Ph.D. and first class at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch.

Experience:

  • Professor:
    • The academic route requires at least 10 years of teaching or equivalent research experience, including evidence of successfully guiding the doctoral candidate.
    • The professional route requires at least 10 years of relevant experience and the additional conditions specified in the advertisement.
  • Associate Professor: Candidates should have at least 8 years of teaching or research experience in an academic or research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Professor: Academic Pay Level 14, with a pay scale of Rs. 1,44,200/- to Rs. 2,18,200/-
  • Associate Professor: Academic Pay Level 13A, with a pay scale of Rs. 1,31,400/- to Rs. 2,17,400/-

Selection Process:

  • Shortlisting for interview will be based on academic records, publications, experience, research score and other criteria determined by the University.
  • The selection process may include a presentation, seminar, interview or a combination of these, as required.
  • Final selection will be based on candidates’ performance in the interview.
