Educational Qualification:

  • A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in Economics / Econometrics from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
  • Qualification in the NET conducted by the UGC or CSIR.
  • Ph.D. degree holders are exempt from NET as per the UGC Regulations 2018.
  • Other eligibility conditions shall be as per the UGC Regulations 2018.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Ph.D. holders: Consolidated salary of Rs. 47,000 per month.
  • Other contract teachers: Consolidated salary of Rs. 45,000 per month.

  • For SC/ST candidates: Rs. 195
