Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should have a Master’s degree in Economics / Applied Economics with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade from an Indian University or an accredited foreign University.
  • Candidates should also have cleared the UGC NET or CSIR NET, or a similar UGC-accredited test such as SLET / GSET, or hold a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the applicable UGC regulations.
  • A Ph.D. from a foreign University / institution ranked among the top 500 by QS, Times Higher Education (THE), or Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) is also accepted as specified in the advertisement.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Consolidated salary of Rs. 45,000/-.

Selection Process:

  • Selection will be based on a walk-in interview.
  • If a large number of candidates appear, the Department may conduct a screening test based on the NET/GSET syllabus.
  • A teaching demonstration may also be conducted, if required.
