Educational Qualification:
- Associate Professor:
- Candidates should possess a B.Tech. in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture.
- Candidates should possess a First Class Certificate of Competency (MEO Class-I C.O.C.).
- Candidates should possess a valid STCW course certificate at the time of joining.
- An M.Tech. in Marine Engineering and an AECS course certificate are desirable for the Associate Professor position.
- Assistant Professor:
- Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Mathematics with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
- Candidates should have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC.
- OR Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline in accordance with the applicable UGC regulations.
- B.Ed./M.Ed. from a UGC-approved University/Institution or a certificate from a DG Shipping-approved Maritime Training Institute is desirable for Assistant Professor Position.

Experience:
- Associate Professor:
- Candidates should have 12 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of the experience should be as a Chief Engineer Officer aboard merchant ships.
- Experience as a full-time faculty member in a DG Shipping-approved Maritime Training Institute will be counted as equivalent to Chief Engineer experience.
- Associate Professor: Rs. 1,25,000/- per month.
- Assistant Professor:
- Rs. 47,000/- per month for candidates possessing a Ph.D. degree.
- Rs. 45,000/- per month for candidates without a Ph.D. degree.
