Educational Qualification:

  • Assistant Professor:
    • A Master’s degree with 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
    • Candidates must have cleared the NET conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, subject to the applicable exemptions.
  • Director, Physical Education (DPE):
    • A Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports or Physical Education or Sports Science with 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point-scale system.
    • Candidates should have cleared the NET conducted by the UGC or CSIR, subject to the applicable exemptions.
    • Alternative Qualification for DPE: An Asian Games or Commonwealth Games medal winner who has a degree at least at Post-Graduation level may also be eligible.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Pay Level-10 of the 7th Pay CPC with entry pay of Rs. 57,700/-.

Selection Process:

  • Assistant Professor:
    • Applications will be screened and shortlisted as per the prescribed screening guidelines based on academic record, qualifications, research publications, teaching/post-doctoral experience, awards, and other applicable criteria.
    • Shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection process as per the guidelines prescribed by the University of Delhi.
    • The selection process for Assistant Professor includes a Presentation Assessment followed by assessment by the duly constituted Selection Committee.
  • Director, Physical Education:
    • Candidates will first be screened/shortlisted as per the prescribed criteria and will be required to qualify the written test before being considered for the subsequent selection process.
    • The final selection shall be made as per the applicable University of Delhi guidelines.
