About the Organization: Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Sports University (SASU) is the first State Sports University in the North-East region of India, established by the Government of Assam in Chabua, Dibrugarh. Established under an Act of the Assam Legislative Assembly in 2018, the University focuses on quality education and research in sport sciences, physical education and allied areas.

Positions Open:

  • Professor in Sports Management / Management – 01 Post (OBC)
  • Finance & Accounts Officer (FAO) – 01 Post (UR)
  • Librarian – 01 Post (UR)

Educational Qualification:

  • Professor in Sports Management / Management: Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and meet the prescribed UGC eligibility requirements.
  • Finance & Accounts Officer: Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
  • Librarian: Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade, along with a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

Experience:

  • Professor:
    • Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of teaching experience at a University/College as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at an equivalent level at a University/National Level Institution, with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates.
    • Candidates should have a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the UGC norms.
  • Finance & Accounts Officer:
    • Candidates should have at least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above, or 8 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above, including experience as an Associate Professor, along with experience in Educational Administration.
    • OR Candidates should have 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years should be as a Deputy Registrar or in an equivalent post.
  • Librarian:
    • Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience as a Librarian at any level in a University Library, or 10 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in Library Science, or 10 years of experience as a College Librarian.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • The scale of pay is Rs. 1,44,200 – 2,18,200.

Age Limit:

  • Professor: As per UGC norms.
  • Finance & Accounts Officer / Librarian: Maximum 55 years as on September 1, 2026.
