Experience:

  • Professor: 10 years after Ph.D. or 13 years of total working experience, including 07 years after Ph.D., with the prescribed experience at the Associate Professor level or equivalent.
  • Associate Professor: 06 years after Ph.D., including at least 03 years at Assistant Professor Grade-I/Level-12 or equivalent, or 09 years of total working experience with the prescribed post-Ph.D. and Assistant Professor Grade-I experience.
  • Assistant Professor (Grade-I): 03 years after Ph.D. or 06 years of total teaching and research experience in an Institution of repute, Research & Development laboratory or relevant industry.
  • Assistant Professor (Grade-II): No prior experience is prescribed.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Professor: Level-14A, Entry Pay of Rs. 1,59,100/-.
  • Associate Professor: Level-13A2, Entry Pay of Rs. 1,39,600/-.
  • Assistant Professor, Grade-I: Level-12, Entry Pay of Rs. 1,01,500/-.
  • Assistant Professor, Grade-II: Level-10, Entry Pay of Rs. 70,900/-.

Selection Process:

  • The selection process includes scrutiny of applications and shortlisting based on eligibility, credit points, experience, research, and academic performance.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to deliver a lecture in the respective department on a core undergraduate subject using a black/white board.
  • Candidates will subsequently make a presentation on their past research work and future research plans during the personal interview.
  • Candidates residing abroad may be provided the facility of technical presentation and interview through video conferencing, subject to the conditions specified by the Institute.
