Educational Qualification:
- Candidates should possess at least a Master’s Degree in Engineering / Sciences / Humanities or a related field.
- Ph.D. is desirable but not essential. Candidates without a Ph.D. should demonstrate strong domain knowledge acquired through deep professional experience in the relevant field.
Experience:
- Professor of Practice: Minimum 15 years of managerial or professional experience, including experience in a senior management position such as CEO/CTO/Vice President/Director for a reasonable period.
- Associate Professor of Practice: Minimum 10 years of managerial or professional experience, including experience in a senior management position such as CEO/CTO/Vice President/Director for a reasonable period.
Candidate Profile:
- Candidates should have substantial professional or managerial experience in their respective fields.
- Candidates with senior management experience and practical innovation are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in product design and development, project R&D, patents, new applications of materials or processes, internships, student projects, technology transfer or consultancy is desirable.
- Candidates with experience in start-ups/unicorns, reputed research institutions, national laboratories, world-class universities or prestigious professional bodies may be preferred.
- Candidates should be able to contribute to practice-oriented teaching, student mentoring, industry-academia collaboration and institutional development.
- Professor of Practice: Consolidated salary of Rs. 1.20 lakh per month.
- Associate Professor of Practice: Consolidated salary of Rs. 1.00 lakh per month.
Selection Process:
- Applications will be scrutinized by a Standing Committee.
- Selection will consider merit, specialization, research contribution, consultancy, sponsored research projects, patents, expertise in new product development, and recent advances in technology.
- Senior Management Experience and Practical Innovation may be accorded higher weightage than Academic Research in accordance with the objectives of the Professor of Practice/Associate Professor of Practice positions.
