Educational Qualification:

  • English / Hindi / Psychology / Sociology / Social Work / History / Statistics / Marine Science: Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a concerned/relevant/allied subject along with NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or an accredited SLET/SET, or Ph.D. as per applicable UGC Regulations and provisions.
  • M.C.A. / Computer Science: B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in the relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one degree; or B.E./B.Tech. and MCA with First Class or equivalent in any one of the two degrees; or three-year graduation with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and MCA with First Class or equivalent along with 2 years of relevant experience after acquiring the MCA degree.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Pay Band Rs.57,700–1,82,400, Academic Level 10 as per the 7th Pay Commission.

Selection Process:

  • Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on the prescribed academic and research performance criteria.
  • For Assistant Professor positions, candidates with higher merit in the proportion of 1:15 will be called for interview; if eligible candidates are fewer than 1:15, all eligible candidates will be called.
  • The academic score, research publications and teaching/post-doctoral experience are considered as part of the prescribed shortlisting criteria.
  • Final selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in the interview only.
