Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a Ph.D. with a First Class or equivalent at the preceding degree, with specialization in the appropriate area/branch and an excellent academic record throughout, along with a proven track record of outstanding research ability.

Experience:

  • Assistant Professor Grade I: Candidates with at least 3 years of post-Ph.D. industrial/research/teaching experience may be considered for the post.
  • Associate Professor: Candidates should possess a minimum of 6 years of teaching/research experience, of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor Grade-I / Senior Scientific Officer / Senior Design Engineer.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Assistant Professor Grade I: Pay Level 12 with an initial pay of Rs. 1,01,500/-.
  • Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A2 with an initial pay of Rs. 1,39,600/-.

Selection Process:

  • Applications received for a particular department will be shortlisted by the Departmental Faculty Affairs Committee (DFAC) based on overall suitability, including the application, seminar, and inputs from faculty members of the department.
  • The Institute Faculty Affairs Committee (IFAC) will review the DFAC report and decide on further shortlisting of candidates for interview.
  • All shortlisted candidates will be required to appear in person for the interview.
  • Candidates residing outside India may be permitted to appear online under the conditions specified in the advertisement.
