Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in the relevant branch, with a first-class or equivalent grade in the preceding degree and a very good academic record throughout.

Experience:

  • Professor: Candidates should have at least 10 years of teaching / research / industrial experience, including at least 4 years at the level of Associate Professor at an IIT, IIM, IISc Bangalore, IISER or an institution of comparable standards.
  • Associate Professor: Candidates should have at least 6 years of experience, including at least 3 years as an Assistant Professor or at an equivalent level.
  • Assistant Professor Grade I: Candidates should have at least 3 years of teaching, research or industrial experience, excluding the period spent pursuing a Ph.D. The requirement may be waived in exceptional cases.
  • Assistant Professor Grade II: This is a contractual entry-level position for bright candidates with a Ph.D.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Professor: Level 14A, Rs. 1,59,100–2,20,200
  • Associate Professor: Level 13A2, Rs. 1,39,600–2,11,300
  • Assistant Professor Grade I: Level 12, Rs. 1,01,500–1,67,400
  • Assistant Professor Grade II (on contract): Level 10, initial basic pay of Rs. 70,900; after one year of post-Ph.D. experience, Level 11 with initial basic pay of Rs. 73,100.

Selection Process:

  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for a seminar and interview.
