About the Organization: Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is the constitutional recruiting agency responsible for conducting recruitment to various services and posts under the Government of Himachal Pradesh. Through this recruitment drive, HPPSC is inviting applications for Assistant Professor positions in the Higher Education Department, Himachal Pradesh.

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should have a good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade at the Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign university recognised by the Government of India.
  • NET / SLET /SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor.
  • Candidates holding a Ph.D. degree awarded under the conditions prescribed in the advertisement may be exempted from the requirement of NET / SLET / SET.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Emoluments for Job Trainee is Rs. 35,000/- per month.

  • Age relaxation for eligible Himachal Pradesh Government employees and Ex-Servicemen of Himachal Pradesh shall be as per Government instructions.
