Educational Qualification:

  • Professor:
    • An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject and actively engaged in research.
    • A minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals with a total Research Score of 120 as per Appendix II Table 2 of UGC Regulations, 2018.
    • OR an outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in the concerned subject from an academic institution/industry who has made significant contribution to knowledge.
  • Associate Professor:
    • A good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject.
    • A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the concerned subject.
    • A minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total Research Score of 75 as per Appendix II Table 2 of UGC Regulations, 2018.
  • Assistant Professor:
    • A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the concerned subject from an Indian University or an accredited foreign University.
    • Candidates must have cleared NET/CSIR-NET conducted by UGC-CSIR or SLET/SET conducted by the concerned State.
    • Candidates awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations, 2009/2016 and subsequent amendments are exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.

Experience:

  • Professor: Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a University/College as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor or equivalent research experience at the University/National level.
  • Associate Professor: Minimum 8 years of experience in teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/Industry.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Assistant Professor: ₹57,700/- Basic Pay
  • Associate Professor: ₹1,31,400/- Basic Pay
  • Professor: ₹1,44,200/- Basic Pay
  • DA and other allowances shall be admissible as per Government of Meghalaya rates.
