About the Organization: Assam Skill University (ASU) was established through the Assam Skill University Act passed by the Assam Legislative Assembly in September 2020. The University aims to integrate skill education and training with higher education, promote applied research and development, and support entrepreneurship education. It also seeks to enhance the skills, productivity and global competitiveness of industries in Assam and the North Eastern Region.

Educational Qualification:

  • English: Master’s Degree in ELT/English with specialisation in ELT, or Linguistics with English as an honours subject in graduation, or Linguistics and Language Technology, along with NET/SLET/Ph.D.
  • Human Resource Management: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and a regular full-time Master’s Degree with First Class or equivalent in MBA/PGDM/M.Com with specialisation in Human Resource Management, along with UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/SLET/SET or a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC Regulations and eligible for exemption from NET/SLET/SET.
  • Mathematics: M.Sc. in Mathematics with NET/SLET/Ph.D.

Experience:

  • Human Resource Management: Teaching experience in MBA/BBA or other management programmes is desirable.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Guest Faculty: Rs. 1,500/- per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 40,000/- per month.
  • Guest Faculty already employed in a government institution: Rs. 800/- per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 40,000/- per month.
