About the Organization: The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) was established on November 1, 1956, following the formation of the State of Andhra Pradesh. Public Service Commissions are constituted under Article 315 of the Constitution of India, and their functions are set out in Article 320. APPSC conducts direct recruitment and recruitment by transfer for state services, and advises on service rules and disciplinary matters. The Commission also conducts departmental examinations and other examinations entrusted to it.

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should hold a postgraduate degree from a recognized university or institution in one of the following subjects: Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Economics with Statistics, Pure Economics, Applied Economics, Applied Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics or Computer Science.
  • Applicants claiming an equivalent qualification should submit the relevant Government Order to the Commission within the period specified in the notification.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Pay scale of Rs. 57,100 – 1,47,760

Selection Process:

  • Selection will be based on a written examination conducted in Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) mode.
  • Shortlisted candidates must qualify the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).
  • The examination date will be announced later on the Commission’s website.
