About the Organization: Atal Bihari Vajpayee-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM) Gwalior is an autonomous Institute of National Importance established in 1997 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, now the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and have First Class in the preceding degrees from graduation onwards.
  • Where the University/Institution does not mention First Class, candidates should have secured at least 6.5 CGPA/CPI on a 10-point scale or 60% marks in aggregate.
  • At least one degree from graduation onwards should be from IISc/IITs/IIITs/NITs/IIMs/ISI/IISERs, or the candidate should be working on a regular pay scale at these institutions, subject to the conditions specified in the advertisement.
  • Candidates with essential qualifications and/or preceding degrees obtained from abroad may be considered subject to the conditions specified in the detailed advertisement.

Experience:

  • 03 years after Ph.D. or 06 years total experience, not counting the Ph.D. enrolment period, after obtaining the M.Tech. degree.
  • Experience rendered on a part-time basis, daily wages, visiting/Guest faculty or purely on contract basis with fixed remuneration will not be counted for calculating valid experience for shortlisting.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Pay Level 12 – Rs. 1,01,500 – 1,67,400/- plus applicable allowances.

Selection Process:

  • Selection will be made in two phases.
  • In the first phase, shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for a presentation on teaching and research in their specialization.
  • The second phase will comprise an Interview by the Selection Committee.
  • A Screening Committee shall shortlist eligible and desirable candidates based on qualifications, area of expertise, research outputs and experience higher than the minimum prescribed requirements, as applicable.

Age Limit:

  • Fresh appointments beyond the age of 35 years for Assistant Professor are discouraged.
  • Exception may be considered for faculty with an exceptionally brilliant research career and an ongoing or approved externally funded research project.
