Educational Qualification:

  • Dean, College of Horticulture and Research Station: Candidates should have a doctoral degree in any branch of Horticulture.
  • Assistant Professor:
    • Candidates should have a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade of 6.50 on a 10-point scale, and a good academic record.
    • NET in the concerned discipline is required, subject to applicable Ph.D. exemptions under UGC regulations.
  • Assistant Librarian:
    • Candidates should have a Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks, a consistently good academic record and computer knowledge related to library work.
    • NET or an applicable Ph.D. exemption is required.

Experience:

  • Dean: Candidates should have at least 20 years of total experience, including five years as Professor or in an equivalent position.
  • Assistant Professor / Assistant Librarian: Teaching, research, extension education, library or documentation experience is desirable, as applicable to the post.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Dean: Academic Level 14, pay scale of Rs. 1,44,200/- to Rs. 2,18,200/- as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix
  • Assistant Professor / Assistant Librarian: Academic Level 10, pay scale of Rs. 57,700/- to Rs. 1,82,400/- as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix

Selection Process:

  • Applications will be evaluated using the University’s prescribed scorecard for the respective post.
  • Shortlisting may be based on the scorecard and other criteria set by the University.
  • A screening test or written examination may be conducted, if required.
  • Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview.
