Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks, or an equivalent grade, in the concerned, relevant or allied subject from a recognized Indian or accredited foreign university.
  • Candidates must have qualified UGC NET, CSIR NET or a similar UGC-accredited test such as SLET / SET, or hold a Ph.D. awarded in accordance with applicable UGC regulations.
  • For Computer Science and Data Science and Analytics, candidates with a relevant M.Tech. may also be considered as per AICTE norms, in addition to candidates with a relevant Master’s degree.
  • A 5% relaxation in Master’s marks, from 55% to 50%, is available to SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / PwBD candidates.

Experience:

  • Prior teaching, counselling or academic administration experience in a recognized Open University or ODL / online institution is desirable.
  • Experience developing, writing, editing, unitising or assessing print or electronic Self-Learning Materials is desirable.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, MOOCs / SWAYAM, online assessment, virtual classrooms and learner support systems is desirable.
  • Research publications, postdoctoral experience, JRF / SRF qualifications, awards, fellowships and sponsored projects may receive weightage in shortlisting and selection.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Consolidated pay of Rs. 50,000/- per month.

Selection Process:

  • Selection will be made by a duly constituted University Selection Committee in accordance with UGC Regulations, 2018 and University statutes.
  • Shortlisting may consider academic record, teaching experience, research and academic score, and relevant ODL experience.
  • Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview or academic presentation. A demonstration related to Self-Learning Materials or ICT-based teaching may also be required.
