Educational Qualification:

  • New entrants must have a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline and a First Class in the preceding degrees, starting from the Bachelor’s degree.
  • Essential qualifications and credit points must meet Schedule E of the NIT Statute, published in the Gazette of India on July 24, 2017.
  • Degrees must be from a UGC / AICTE / AIU / Government of India-recognized institution, as applicable.

Experience:

  • Experience requirements and eligible teaching, research, or industrial experience shall be as per Schedule E of the NIT Statute and the recruitment rules stated in the advertisement.
  • Part-time, teaching assistant, visiting faculty and guest faculty experience will not be counted as valid experience.
  • Experience in regular positions of more than six months will be considered, subject to the criteria and documentary proof specified in the advertisement.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Academic Pay Level 12, with a pay scale of Rs. 1,01,500/- to Rs. 1,67,400/- per month, plus admissible allowances.

Selection Process:

  • Applications will be scrutinized and candidates shortlisted according to the Institute’s criteria and departmental requirements.
  • Shortlisted candidates may be required to appear for a screening test, presentation and/or interview.

Age Limit:

  • Fresh appointments beyond the age of 60 years are discouraged, except for candidates with exceptional research and ongoing or approved externally funded research projects.
