About the Organization: Gautam Buddha University was established under the Uttar Pradesh Gautam Buddha University Act, 2002, and began its first academic session in Greater Noida in August 2008. Educational Qualification:

  • Assistant Professor: A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks, or equivalent, in the relevant or allied subject, along with NET, SLET or SET, or a Ph.D. meeting the applicable UGC requirements.
  • Associate Professor: A good academic record, a Ph.D. in the relevant or allied discipline, a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks, at least seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, and a research score of at least 75.
  • Professor: A Ph.D. in the relevant or allied discipline, high-quality research publications, at least 10 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, a research score of at least 120, and the prescribed teaching or research experience.

Experience:

  • Associate Professor: At least eight years of teaching or research experience in an academic or research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
  • Professor: At least ten years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, or equivalent research experience.
  • The time taken to acquire an M.Phil. or Ph.D. degree is not counted as teaching or research experience, subject to the conditions in the notification.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Assistant Professor: Academic Pay Level 10, Rs. 57,700 – 1,82,400
  • Associate Professor: Academic Pay Level 13A, Rs. 1,31,400 – 2,17,100
  • Professor: Academic Pay Level 14, Rs. 1,44,200 – 2,18,200

Selection Process:

  • Academic scores under the applicable UGC criteria will be used for shortlisting candidates for the interview.
  • Final selection will be based on performance in the interview.
  • The interview may be conducted online, offline, or in a blended mode.
