Educational Qualification:

  • Assistant Professor (Research):
    • Candidates should have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in a relevant or allied subject from an Indian University or an accredited foreign University.
    • A minimum of 3 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals is required.
    • NET/CSIR-NET or an equivalent UGC-accredited test qualification is desirable.
  • Subject Matter Specialist – Russian Language:
    • Candidates should be graduates in Russian Language with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in the relevant/allied subject.
    • Native Russian language expertise is specified in the post title.
  • Subject Matter Specialist – Arabic Language:
    • Candidates should be graduates in Arabic Language with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in the relevant/allied subject.
    • Candidates must be native speakers of Arabic.

Experience:

  • Assistant Professor (Research): Minimum 3 years of post-qualification teaching or research experience in an equivalent cadre or relevant field at a government/private organization, relevant institute or research institute.
  • Russian and Arabic Language Specialists: Teaching experience is desirable.

Candidate Profile:

  • Assistant Professor (Research):
    • Candidates should be able to meet deadlines, prepare reports and papers, and contribute to teaching, research, consultancy projects and outreach activities.
    • Knowledge of strategic languages and Afghanistan, along with good working knowledge of MS Office, will be an advantage.
  • Subject Matter Specialists: Candidates should be prepared to contribute to teaching, research, training, extension, innovation and consultancy; organize workshops and conferences; prepare policy papers and reports; and coordinate with academic, government, security and other external stakeholders.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Assistant Professor (Research): Consolidated remuneration of Rs. 70,000/- to Rs. 92,239/- per month.
  • Subject Matter Specialist: Consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,00,000/- to Rs. 1,25,000/- per month.

Selection Process:

  • Applications may be shortlisted based on qualifications and experience. If applications are numerous, the University may set higher shortlisting criteria than the minimum eligibility requirements.
  • The University may constitute a Search-cum-Selection Committee to identify, scrutinize, and recommend suitable candidates.
