About the Organization: Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University (KBCNMU), Jalgaon, formerly known as North Maharashtra University, was established on August 15, 1990, under the Maharashtra Universities Act, XXIX of 1989, and commenced academic and administrative functions from the academic year 1991-92. The University was recognised under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act in 1991 and 1994, respectively. The University offers multidisciplinary programmes through its various Schools, Institutes and Centres, with emphasis on higher education, teaching, research and extension activities.

Educational Qualification:

  • Director:
    • Candidates should hold a Master’s degree with First or Higher Second Class in Education, Distance Education, Social Science or Languages, along with a Ph.D. and NET/SET in the relevant or an allied subject.
    • Candidates should have at least 10 high-quality publications and a research score of at least 120.
    • Alternatively, an outstanding professional with an established reputation and significant contributions to the relevant field may be considered.
  • Temporary Assistant Professor:
    • Candidates should hold a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a relevant or allied subject, and have qualified NET/SET or hold a Ph.D. that qualifies them for exemption under applicable UGC regulations.
    • A Ph.D. is the minimum eligibility requirement in subjects where NET/SET is not conducted.

Experience:

  • Director: Candidates should have at least 10 years of teaching experience at a university or college, and/or research experience at a university, national-level institution or industry, along with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Director: Rs. 50,000/- per month (consolidated).
  • Temporary Assistant Professor (five or more years of teaching experience): Rs. 40,000/- per month (consolidated).
  • Temporary Assistant Professor (less than five years of teaching experience or fresh appointees): Rs. 35,000/- per month (consolidated).

Selection Process:

  • Shortlisting and selection will be conducted in accordance with the applicable Maharashtra Government resolutions.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection process.
  • Updates and interview schedules will be published on the University website in due course.
