The Central University of Rajasthan invites applications for one Chair Professor position under the HARIT initiative (Holistic Approach for Revitalisation of Indian Tradition) at the School of Earth Sciences, under Advertisement No. CURAJ/R/F.178/Rectt./2026/7000, dated September 24, 2026. The Chair will lead research and policy work in environmental sustainability, climate resilience and the scientific validation and application of traditional environmental knowledge. The appointment is contractual, and eligible candidates may submit their applications by post on or before November 10, 2026.

Educational Qualification:
- Candidates should possess a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
- Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Environmental Science / Atmospheric Science or an allied field, with an outstanding record of research, publications and academic leadership.
- Outstanding professionals with a Ph.D. in a relevant, allied or applied discipline may also be considered if they have made significant contributions to the field, supported by documentary evidence.
Experience:
- Applicants from academic institutions should have at least 10 years of teaching or research experience at a university or national-level institution.
- Outstanding professionals applying under the alternative eligibility route should have at least 10 years of experience.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience leading large interdisciplinary research projects.
- Recognized contributions to environmental policy, technology innovation, or community engagement.
- National or international awards, fellowships or memberships in professional societies.
- Consolidated pay of Rs. 2,00,000 per month, with a 3% annual increment during the tenure.
Selection Process:
- Selection will be made through a Selection Committee.
- The University may also invite eminent candidates through a nomination or search mechanism.

- Maximum age limit is 70 years as of the last date of the advertisement.
