About the Organization: South Asian University (SAU) is an international university established through an inter-governmental agreement among the SAARC Member States to provide world-class educational and research opportunities to students and researchers from across the South Asian region. The University opened its doors to students in August 2010 and shifted to its residential campus at Maidan Garhi, New Delhi, in January 2023. SAU focuses primarily on research and postgraduate-level programmes, with academic faculties spanning science and non-science disciplines. Its degrees and certificates are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in India and by other SAARC countries.

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant domain from a recognized university / institution.
  • Candidates should have a Master’s degree with minimum 60% marks in Science or 55% marks in Social Sciences & Humanities.
  • For Life Sciences & Biotechnology, a BVSc degree is compulsory.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Annual Salary: USD 10,000 – 15,000 per annum
  • HRA: 25% if campus housing is not available
  • Professional Development Allowance: USD 2,000 per year
  • Health coverage and other benefits shall be provided as per SAU rules.
  • Salary and allowances are exempt from income tax.

Selection Process:
