About the Organization: National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Delhi Campus, traces its origins to the Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science, established by the Government of India in 1972. The institute was upgraded as a National Institute in 1991 and renamed after Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan in 2003. The Delhi Campus is based at the former Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Sciences (LNJN-NICFS) at Rohini, New Delhi, and focuses on education, training and research in Criminology and Forensic Science.

Educational Qualification:

  • Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in the relevant / allied discipline with First Class in the preceding degree.
  • Research Fellow: Candidates should have a Master’s degree in the relevant / allied discipline with a minimum aggregate of 60%.
  • Registration as a Clinical Psychologist under the RCI Act is mandatory for the RCI Clinical Psychology positions.

Experience:

  • Associate Professor:
    • Candidates should have 06 years of experience after Ph.D. or 09 years of total experience, out of which 03 years should be after Ph.D., including three years at the level of Assistant Professor with AGP of 8000 or equivalent in a reputed university, R&D Lab or relevant industry.
    • Candidates should have four papers in SCI journals after Ph.D., one Ph.D. guided as sole or principal supervisor plus one continuing, and two ongoing projects or one ongoing and one completed project along with contributory research and laboratory work.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Associate Professor: Rs. 1,94,000/- fixed per month.
  • Assistant Professor (with Ph.D.): Rs. 90,000/- fixed per month.
  • Assistant Professor (UGC NET Qualified): Rs. 75,000/- fixed per month.
  • Lecturer: Rs. 68,000/- fixed per month.
  • Research Fellow: Rs. 37,000/- fixed per month.

Selection Process:

  • Eligible candidates will be considered for selection through a personal interview.
  • There will be no separate intimation for interviews through telephone or email; candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria are required to report as per the prescribed interview schedule with all supporting documents.
  • In case a large number of candidates appear, the University may conduct a Screening Test / Skill Test followed by the interview.
  • Candidates may be considered for a lower position / remuneration if found suitable as per the University’s provisions.
