About the Organization: National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Dharwad Campus, is the first NFSU campus in the southern region of India and is located in Dharwad, Karnataka. The campus was established with the objective of strengthening Forensic Science education in Karnataka and neighbouring states. It currently offers specialized academic programmes in Forensic Sciences and Cyber Security, including B.Sc. and M.Sc. Forensic Science, B.Tech.-M.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering with specialization in Cyber Security, and a Professional Diploma in Crime Scene Management.

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should have a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
  • Alternatively, candidates should have First Class in the preceding degree, i.e., M.Sc. / MCA / M.E. / M.Tech. in Computer Science / Engineering / Information Security / Cyber Security / Digital Forensics / Network Technology / Information Technology / Data Science & Forensics or concerned / allied / relevant discipline from a recognized university.
  • Additional desirable requirements include a minimum of two publications in renowned journals of repute and certification in Ethical Hacking or Cyber Security.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Assistant Professor (Regular remuneration): Rs. 90,000/- consolidated per month for candidates with Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
  • Assistant Professor (Lower remuneration): Rs. 75,000/- consolidated per month for candidates with a Master’s degree with minimum First Class or 60% or equivalent in the relevant discipline and qualified UGC / CSIR NET, as specified.
  • Lecturer: Rs. 68,000/- consolidated per month in case the NET exam is not conducted by UGC / CSIR in the particular desired subject.

Selection Process:

  • Applications received in response to the advertisement will be scrutinized, and only shortlisted candidates will be considered for further selection.
  • Selection will be through a personal interview.
  • The University may conduct a screening test before the interview on the same day or one day prior to the interview, depending on the number of applications.
  • The interview will be conducted in offline mode only.
