University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Panjab University, Chandigarh, invites applications for Guest Faculty positions to teach B.E. and M.E. classes for the Odd Semester of the academic session 2026–27, vide Advt. No. 6673/UIET dated September 03, 2026. Vacancies are available in Biotechnology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Educational Qualification:
- Biotechnology: Candidates should possess First Class B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. degrees in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering or a relevant field of Engineering.
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering: Candidates should possess First Class B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. degrees in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a relevant field of Engineering.
- Mechanical Engineering: Candidates should possess First Class B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. degrees in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
- Teaching, research, industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization will be desirable.
- Research papers published in reputed peer-reviewed journals and papers presented at conferences/refereed journals will be desirable, as applicable to the respective discipline.
- Honorarium of Rs.1,500/- per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs.50,000/- per month.
Selection Process:
- Eligible candidates will be called for an interview for the respective Guest Faculty position.
- The interview is scheduled to be held tentatively in the same week, and eligible candidates will be intimated about the exact date and time by phone.
