About the Organization: North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, Meghalaya, was established in 1973 by an Act of Parliament as the first Central University in the North-Eastern region of India. Educational Qualification:

  • B.Sc. B.Ed. / B.A. B.Ed.: Candidates should possess a P.G. degree in the concerned or relevant subject with 55% marks, B.Ed./M.Ed. with 55% marks, and NET/SLET/SET/Ph.D. in Education or the concerned subject.
  • Pedagogy of Physical Sciences: Candidates should possess a P.G. degree in Physics/Chemistry/Physical Science or a relevant discipline with 55% marks or equivalent grade, B.Ed./M.Ed. with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade, and NET/SLET/SET in Education or the relevant subject, or Ph.D. in Education or the concerned subject.
  • Pedagogy of Khasi: Candidates should possess a P.G. degree in Khasi with 55% marks or equivalent grade, B.Ed./M.Ed. with 55% marks or equivalent grade, and NET/SLET/SET in Education or the relevant subject, or Ph.D. in Education or the concerned subject.
  • Art Education: Candidates should possess a P.G. degree in Performing or Visual Arts with 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
  • Educational Studies: Candidates should possess a P.G. degree in Education (M.Ed.) with 55% marks and NET/SLET/Ph.D. in Education/relevant subjects. P.G. in Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology or allied subjects is desirable.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Guest Faculty shall be paid at the rate of Rs. 1,500/- per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month.

Selection Process:
