About the Organization: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-Jammu) came into existence on September 20, 1999, with a mandate to advance agricultural education, research and extension in the Jammu region. The University conducts basic, strategic and applied research in agriculture and allied sectors, promotes academic excellence and trained manpower, and works towards the dissemination of knowledge and technology for the farming community. It is a multi-campus university headquartered at Chatha, Jammu, with faculties covering agriculture, basic sciences, veterinary sciences and animal husbandry, horticulture and forestry, dairy technology, agricultural engineering, along with the Institute of Biotechnology.

Educational Qualification:
- Genetic Engineering and Recombinant DNA Technology: Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in Genetic Engineering/Recombinant DNA Technology/Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology with 55% marks.
- French:
- Candidates should possess an M.A. (French) with at least 55% marks.
- A Diploma/Certificate course in French from a recognized University/Institute is also considered; however, first preference is given to candidates having a Master’s Degree in French.
- Economics: Candidates should possess an M.A. (Economics) with at least 55% marks.
- Payment per lecture shall be made as per SKUAST-J rules for engagement of Guest Faculty.
