Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a Doctoral degree in the relevant subject, including the relevant basic sciences.

Experience:

  • Professor: Minimum 10 years of experience in the relevant subject, including 8 years as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position and 2 years as Associate Professor/Senior Scientist or in an equivalent position.
  • Associate Professor: Minimum 8 years of experience in the relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position.
  • Demonstrated contribution to research, teaching, and extension education as evidenced by published work, innovations, and their impact.
Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Professor: Academic Level 14 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
  • Associate Professor: Academic Level 13A of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.

Selection Process:

  • The selection process may comprise a Qualifying Test/Written Test/Presentation/Interview or a combination thereof.

Age Limit:

  • Professor: Preferably below 60 years.
  • Associate Professor: Preferably below 50 years.
