The Institute for Development & Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), Hyderabad, established by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), invites applications from exceptionally bright and motivated individuals for the posts of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor vide Advertisement No. 05/2026-27 dated July 17, 2026. This is a rolling advertisement, and applications will be assessed fortnightly from the date of the advertisement.

About the Organization: The Institute for Development & Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), Hyderabad, established by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 1996, is a premier research institute dedicated to advancing technology adoption and innovation in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The Institute has played a pioneering role in developing key financial technology infrastructure in India, including INFINET, National Financial Switch (NFS), NEFT, RTGS, and Structured Financial Messaging System (SFMS), while actively contributing to research, executive education, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and financial technology.

Educational Qualification:
- Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with First Class or an equivalent grade in the preceding degree and an excellent academic record throughout.
- Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting the award of the degree are also eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor Grade II.
Experience:
- Assistant Professor Grade II (Academic Level 10): Candidates should have up to one year of post-Ph.D. research/teaching/professional experience.
- Assistant Professor Grade II (Academic Level 11): Candidates with less than three years of post-Ph.D. research/teaching/professional experience may be considered for appointment at this level based on merit, as recommended by the Selection Committee.
- Assistant Professor Grade I (Academic Level 12): Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of post-Ph.D. research/teaching/professional experience, along with demonstrated research capability through publications in reputed journals and conferences.
- Associate Professor (Academic Level 13A2): Candidates should possess a minimum of six years of post-Ph.D. research/teaching/professional experience, including at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor Grade I or an equivalent position, with an excellent research and publication record and experience in supervising Ph.D. scholars.

- Assistant Professor Grade II (Academic Level 10): Basic Pay ₹70,900 – ₹98,200
- Assistant Professor Grade II (Academic Level 11): Basic Pay ₹84,800 – ₹1,17,200
- Assistant Professor Grade I (Academic Level 12): Basic Pay ₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400
- Associate Professor (Academic Level 13A2): Basic Pay ₹1,39,600 – ₹2,11,300
Age Limit:
Candidates should be below 35 years of age.
