Educational Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Environmental Science / Life Science / Bioanalytics / Bioinformatics / Geoinformatics / AI-based Climate Modeling or a relevant discipline from a recognized university/institute.
  • M.Sc. in Environmental Science / Life Science / Bioanalytics / Bioinformatics / Geoinformatics / AI-based Climate Modeling or a relevant discipline from a recognized university/institute.

Area of Specialization:

  • Climate Change Impact on Public Health / Environmental Health
  • Climate Change and Sustainable Agriculture
  • Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) / Net-Zero
  • Impact of Global Warming on Biogeochemical Cycling of Materials and Carbon Budget
  • Research aligned with the National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) and/or State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC)

Experience:

  • Minimum two years of postdoctoral experience from outside India. Experience in Bioinformatics or Geoinformatics will be preferred.
  • Strong publication record with first-author or corresponding-author publications in high-impact journals is desirable.
  • Technical expertise in emerging and cutting-edge research areas with industrial exposure will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in obtaining funded research projects and building national and international collaborations will be preferred.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong interest in interdisciplinary research related to climate change and sustainability.
  • Ability to write and secure research grant proposals.
  • Capability to guide Master’s, Ph.D. scholars, and postdoctoral fellows.
  • Strong research, publication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment involving scientists, clinicians, and engineers.
Pay Scale/Salary:

As per the University norms for Assistant Professor based on experience and educational qualifications.
