Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli (IIIT Tiruchirappalli) invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the engagement of Temporary Faculty in the Departments of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), and Department of Science & Humanities (Mathematics) on a purely temporary basis. Interested candidates are invited to attend the Walk-in Interview scheduled on July 27, 2026 under Advertisement No. IIITT/R/TF2-2026 dated July 15, 2026.

- Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) – 1 Post
- Department of Science & Humanities (Mathematics) – 3 Posts
Educational Qualification:
- First Class in both UG and PG (minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA) from a recognized University/Institute.
- UG, PG and/or Ph.D. should be in the appropriate discipline relevant to the respective department (Computer Science & Engineering/Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mathematics, respectively).
- Candidates possessing a Ph.D. qualification will receive a consolidated remuneration of ₹60,000/- per month.
- Candidates possessing an M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent qualification will receive a consolidated remuneration of ₹40,000/- per month.
Selection Process:
- A written test may be conducted depending on the number of candidates. The indicative syllabus for the written test shall be as per GATE 2026.
- Candidates shortlisted in the written test, wherever applicable, will be called for the interview.
- Final selected candidates will be informed through the Institute’s website, email, or mobile phone. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to join at the earliest.
