Experience:

  • Professor: Minimum 10 years of teaching, research, or industrial experience, including at least 4 years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent.
  • Associate Professor: Minimum 6 years of teaching, research, or industrial experience, including at least 3 years at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
  • Assistant Professor Grade-I: Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching, research, or industrial experience after Ph.D.
  • Assistant Professor Grade-II: Candidates satisfying all criteria except the post-Ph.D. experience requirement for Assistant Professor Grade-I may be considered.

Pay Scale/Salary:
  • Professor: Academic Pay Level 14A with minimum basic pay of ₹1,59,100 per month.
  • Associate Professor: Academic Pay Level 13A2 with minimum basic pay of ₹1,39,600 per month.
  • Assistant Professor Grade-I: Academic Pay Level 12 with minimum basic pay of ₹1,01,500 per month.
  • Assistant Professor Grade-II: Academic Pay Level 10 with minimum basic pay of ₹70,900 per month (movable to Academic Pay Level 11 after completion of one year post-Ph.D. experience).
  • HRA and other allowances are admissible as per Central Government and IIT Jammu rules.

Selection Process:

  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on the prescribed eligibility criteria and institute requirements.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a research and teaching presentation followed by an interview.
