Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur, Maharashtra, invites applications for the positions of Assistant Professor (Law) and Assistant Professor (Sociology) on a contractual/ad hoc basis for a period of 11 months under Recruitment Notification RN-28 dated June 1, 2026. Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant/allied subject from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
- Candidate must have cleared UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / SLET / SET OR possess a Ph.D. degree as per applicable UGC Regulations.
- Candidates awarded Ph.D. under UGC prescribed regulations may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
- Candidates possessing a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 universities globally (QS, THE, or ARWU rankings) are also eligible.
- Candidates with degrees from National Law Universities or reputed foreign institutions will be preferred.

Area of Specialization:
- Specialization Preferred: Criminal Law, Corporate Law, Constitutional Law, Labour Laws, Taxation Law, Administrative Law.
Experience:
Candidates having teaching experience in National Law Universities will be preferred.
Consolidated Pay of Rs. 65,000/- per month
Selection Process:
- Applications will be scrutinized based on eligibility criteria and academic credentials.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
- The Academic Score prescribed under MNLU Nagpur Service Regulations, 2022 shall be considered for shortlisting candidates.
- Final selection will be based on performance in the interview.
